Odysseus has come home from the war. His bath’s broken, and he can’t fix it. As he stares at his reflection, he begins to find that his journey back to the people he loves might not be as easy at it seems.
Set in a bathroom, Nobody’s Home follows a soldier’s journey through his own mind, as he struggles with the monsters of his past to finally come home. In their signature physical style, Theatre Temoin and Grafted Cede present a unique and striking exploration of PTSD in a modern retelling of Homer’s Odyssey.
Nobody’s Home was developed in California through a series of collaborative workshops with combat veterans. We will be touring the piece in the UK to theatres and organisations working closely with Veterans in April and May, 2016
Presented by Theatre Témoin and Grafted Cede Theatre with support from The Salisbury Playhouse and The Wellcome Trust.

Information for Venues
‘Nobody’s Home’ ran in Edinburgh in 2011 (“Ingenious and grotesque…an astounding and moving play” – ThreeWeeks *****), and was subsequently funded by Wellcome and ACE and coproduced with Salisbury Playhouse for redevelopment and touring in 2016. Off of the back of a successful military engagement programme, the piece was commissioned by the MoD and received covenant funding for an extended tour of military bases in 2017, to raise conversation and reduce stigma around PTSD and mental ill-health. The piece is available for commissioning and re-touring, email Ailin at email@example.com for more information.
