ailin.jpg Ailin Conant (USA)
An actor, writer, and director, Ailin moved to the UK to train at LISPA after completing her BA in Theatre at Wellesley College. She has worked as a writer-director for Les Productions Satellite, Swazzled Theatre, The Turkey Troupe, and Penalty Bells Theatre; and as an invited guest director for Wayward Spaniel and Upstage Theatre.  She spent two years as artistic director of Velveteen Theatre in Santa Cruz, CA.  As a performer she has worked with Compagnie Les Planches,  Shakespeare Santa Cruz, Dreamthinkspeak, Revolving Doors, and Anna Deavere Smith's "Institute for the Arts and Civic Dialogue." Ailin recently returned from France, where she was working with Témoin and Compagnie La Traversiére.

 
julia.jpg Julia Yevnine (France)
Julia trained at LISPA and the École Internationale de Théâtre Jacques Lecoq.  She spent 4 years in Paris as a member of the Théâtre de l'Imprimerie.  In the UK, she worked with Compagnie Les Planches as an actor-devisor on the original piece Barbe Bleue in London, and with Point Blank Theatre on An Evening With Psychosis under the direction of Steve Jackson in Sheffield.  More recently, she performed with Company Reflexion in their original creation The Valkyries at the Festival Tis Anixis in Athens, Greece; and Colectivo DeCollage's Siempre Se Me Olvida Algo in Madrid, Spain.  She is currently based in Toulouse, France, and most recently appeared in "Borderline," a collaborative project between Témoin and Cie. La Traversiére.

 
marc.jpg Marc-André Charron (Quebec, Canada)
An actor, writer and director, Marc-André graduated from the École Internationale de Théâtre Jacques Lecoq in Paris, and the London International School of Performing Arts (LISPA).  He also studied corporal mime with Omnibus in Montreal.  His acting credits include Taverne by Alexis Martin with the nationally acclaimed Nouveau Théâtre Expérimental.  He has written and directed plays in France, England and Canada with casts from the four corners of the earth, including Bonsai Maple Syrup in London (2007).  His most recent writing- directing endeavour, Dig, ran in March 2008 at the Monument-National in Montreal.

 



tomoko.jpg Tomoko Komura (Japan)
Tomoko has performed and collaborated in over 50 projects in Japan, Spain, the UK, and the US.  She is trained in both classical and modern dance as well as the Japanese dance forms Buyo and Butoh, and she holds a degree in physical theatre from the London International School of Performing Arts.  In London, she has worked with Kazuko Hohki in Oh Doh, Borrower’s Existence, and with Hohki’s band “Frank Chickens,” as well as a number of other groups with venues ranging from the BAC to Trafalgar Square.  She is has worked with the group “OCT/PASS” in Sendai, Japan, and with “Colectivo DeCollage” in Madrid, Spain.  Recently Tomoko has been working with Temple Theatre in London, with whom she co-devised and performed 'Out of Chaos' which toured in London, Spain, and Germany, and won the Berlin 100° Festival's Audience Prize (Feb '08) and the Act Festival First Prize in Bilbao (June '08).


 
dorie.jpg Dorie Kinnear (USA)
Dorie also graduated with an MFA from LISPA.  She has had theatrical movement training in Canada and Italy, and is skilled in African Dance.  Recently, she has performed in Theatre Amoeba’s Rooftops at the Theatrical Days of Chefchaouen (JTC) festival in Morocco; Swazzled Theatre’s That’s The Way To Do It at the Brighton Fringe Festival; Compagnie Les Planches' Barbe Bleue in London;  Swazzled's Small Corners also in London; and Infectious Theatre's Icy Sparks, based on Gwyn Hyman Rubio’s novel  of the same name, which was presented at the Performing the World Conference in New York.  



 
urara.jpg Urara Sakurai (Japan)
Urara Sakurai works as a visual artist, stage designer, and costume designer in Japan, and has recently been taking her work around the world.  Her credits at home include stage designer for Chambre Ouest Ballet’s Luna (New National Theatre, Tokyo), assistant costume designer for Omodaka’s Kabuki piece Okuni (Setagaya Public Theatre, Tokyo; Kyoto Art Theatre ‘Shyunjyu-za’), and site-specific art for Toyota Amlux’s “Tokyo Fashion Energy” expo in Ikebukuro, Tokyo.  She collaborated with Les Productions Satellite and Laurence Webb in the UK, and just got back to Japan after a collaboration with the Shanghai Museum and East China Normal University Theater in Shanghai.

Laurence Webb (U.K.)
Laurence is a Production Designer based in London. He has worked extensively with the London Film School designing graduate and post-graduate productions. He has worked in Japan on 'Tokyo Fashion Energy' (with Urara Sakurai) as an artist, and also with Urara Sakurai in Shanghai, China as a designer, performer and musician for two shows with Miho Konishi. He has also worked with Kumiko Sakurai of Atelier Hinode, Tokyo, as a costume assistant in Tokyo, Paris and London.
dai.jpg Daisuke Nomura (Japan)
Daisuke trained in Lecoq physical theatre in Nairopa University's MFA program in conjunction with LISPA. He also completed a professional diploma in Dance Studies at LABAN in London. He is trained in classical and contemporary dance, as well as Japanese Folk and Kabuki dancing. As an actor, writer, and director in Japan and abroad, he has worked with Ultra Violet, PT, Act Two, Yuko's Note, Aijounanmin, Nansenhokubaichidan, Yorozuya, Dramkan, Planet Hall, Iroha, Koube City, Okasira, La Cacahouéte, Secret Moon, and Hitorikko. Daisuke has also worked as a lyricist, dancer, and choreographer.

Will Pinchin is a graduate of the London International School of Performing Arts, a two year Lecoq intensive. He also holds a B.F.A in Acting from Ithaca College. Will is the Co-Artistic Director of both Swazzled Theatre based in London, and Grafted Cede Theatre of San Luis Obispo, California.  His devising credits include:  Mr. Whippendale (Wayward Spaniel’s), The Gravity Project (Counterweight Theatre), Nobody’s Home (Grafted Cede Theatre), That’s The Way to Do It (Swazzled Theatre), Small Corners (Swazzled Theatre), Zephrus Dreams (Zephrus Dreams Theatre Co.), St. Vitus’ Dance (Limbik Theatre), The Harbour (Limbik Theatre).
