ROUTES

For some, home is a terrifying place to flee, for others, an idea worth dying for. When a rag-tag group find themselves caught between homes, they will have to learn each others’ stories in order to understand their own.

Routes premiered in 2019 at Brighton Festival before touring throughout 2019. An interactive workshop programme was delivered in partnership with each festival.

‘Routes’ has been developed and researched with Refugee, Migrant, and Native British groups and artists in partnership with PsycheDelight, Young Roots, A Band of Brothers, Creating Ground, and Greenwich Migrant Hub.ROUTES is commissioned by Without Walls, Greenwich and Docklands International Festival, Stockton International Riverside Festival, and Brighton Festival,  and with support from Arts Council England and 101 Creation Space.  The piece was originally seeded by Theatre Deli with Hammersmith and Fulham Council.

Routes has an extensive participation programme, bringing together refugee/migrant and non-refugee/migrant communities across the UK.
