The Caravan

Témoin is collaborating with Beirut DC, Clown Me In, and Sawa for Development and Aid in delivering a year-long audio recording and street theatre project in Lebanon.

The Caravan is a project that puts Syrian refugee voices from the Bekaa valley at the heart of a street theatre performance, literally, through the use of recorded storytelling audio. Over the next year, we will deliver storytelling workshops in refugee camps throughout Lebanon.  Participants who have stories they think the world should hear will record their stories, and these will be shared online as well as used to construct and tour a participatory street performance which will incorporate the recorded media and will be performed throughout Lebanon.

The Caravan is implemented by Beirut DC in partnership with Sawa for Development and Aid, Clown Me In and Theatre Témoin and is made possible by support from the Drama Diversity and Development project (part of the EU’s Med Culture program, co-funded by the EU and the Prince Claus Fund), UNICEF and Goethe Institute.
